I bought the size 6 and when I first tried it on it hurt the top of my
foot where the tongue is attached and it felt so tight. I was regretting
buying a size 6 but i broke into it. It sounds weird but i taped a
cotton pad on top of my foot, because the tongue kept pressing on it but
eventually it stopped. Honestly just wear the boots a lot and they will
break in, i did a lot of walking in them and it helps to wear thick
socks since it will stretch it. I have wore them5 times in a row and
they are so comfortable now. These boots are definitely worth the
investment.
I have heard that these run big but I ordered them in my size anyway
(UK6/US8) and the boots fit just fine. They will definitely need some
breaking in and do because the leather is very stiff and painful in
certain places and they squeak a bit but I don't mind. I'll give an
update later after wearing them some more.
PROS-seems durable, stylish, affordable and comfortable once broken in
CONS- they squeak a little and are a pain to break in
Ok first off. Everyone who is complaining of the tightness of the shoes have clearly never worn Dr. Martens before. I bought the 6 UK size aka 8 in US and they fit like all my other Dr. Martens. They are a train wreck to break in and are initially stiff and sometimes pinching, but well worth it! Give it about 2 weeks with fluffy socks and you'll see the difference. Secondly, some people complained that the leather felt like plastic and claimed it wasn't real leather. After much research and receiving the shoes for myself, they're real leather (hint:smell them)= real dr. martens. With the price on the official martens site being $120 and me getting them for just $85!! Such a steal!!! Highly recommend.
